WWI 1914 Trench Art Grenade Shell Cuff Bracelet w/ Iron Cross Medal Pendant

In this lot we have a trench art cuff bracelet from World War I in Europe.
Trench Art designates jewelry and desktop objects made by soldiers mostly during WWI that are made out of coins, small gun and military vehicle parts.
Some of these objects are quite elaborate and true works of art.
The bracelet we have for sale is made out of greande shell ring. The bracelet is cuff type, hinged with tab-insert lock.
The design is a less common one with the German/Austrian Iron Cross medal set in an oval oak leaves wreath held as a pendant on a short chain.
The Iron cross military order was awarded to soldiers for bravery and distinguished contribution on the battlefield.
The bracelet is very well finished. The pendant is etched on the back with a word: "borbenas" the cursive font is hard to read.
On the inside at the tab-insert lock more commemorations are etched. The etchings commemorate the time the soldier has served from 1914 to 1916
and name initials "A.J."
This antique trench art bracelet has all the expected wearing of objects of this type, scratches, dents, wearing.
The bracelet has a solid feel and locks well.
