You're bidding on a 1904 - 05 Japanese Red Cross war medal from the Russo Japanese war shown in the photos. Please look at the photos closely for condition of the medal as this is the actual one you're bidding on. It does have age wear.
This medal was given to members who were involved with activities with the Red Cross in connection to the Russo-Japanese war. These do not come with a ribbon because the Red Cross Society never obtained an Imperial sanction for them so they could not be worn on soldier's uniforms. They were instead kept as a commemorative badges. These are made of copper and are rarer than the silver Red Cross medals with ribbons that could be worn on soldier's uniforms.
