Water still froze. It was just a five gallon bucket so the fact that it didn?t hold up is incredibly disappointing.

it was only 250 watts and my electric bill is high I did have the 500 watts but it was still too much electricity. I just wish the 250 floated tho. but it works fine in the temps we have this year of 26, in my vinyl horse water tank. it has plastic around the heater so it doesn't touch the sides of the tank.
I bought this for a chicken waterer and it didn't work so well , would be great is a stock tank ....
