    This book is entitled The Official History of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, published 1924 by L.T. Watkins Ltd. of Wellington, New Zealand. Compiled by Lieut. - Col W.S. Austin D.S.O. - soldier and military historian. Covers are green cloth decorated front cover and spine. Includes 587 pages and 11 fold out maps at rear. A comprehensive account of one of New Zealand's best known brigades in World War I. Covers most of the major battles on the Western front including Flanders, the Somme, Messines, Ypres, Cambrai and le Quesnoy. The Rifle Brigade  lost over 3000 men during WW I, and created a proud war record that is well documented. Contains a full Honour roll and list of those Officers and Men decorated for their service including two members who received the Victoria Cross. A Very Good copy of a scarce book.
