Product Description
Features:
1. Distinguish between direct current and alternating current. When measuring a charged object, two electrodes of neon tube emit light at the same time, indicating that it is alternating current. If only one of the two electrodes emits light, it is direct current.
2. Distinguish the live wire from the zero wire. When measuring alternating current, the neon tube lights up the live wire and the non lighted line is the zero line.
3. Judge the positive and negative of direct current. When the testing pen is connected to the DC circuit for testing, the pole with neon bubble shining is the negative pole, and the non illuminating pole is the positive pole.
4. Judge that the zero line is open. When the electric pen contacts the two electrodes of the lamp holder socket, the neon tube will emit light, and the bulb will not light up, indicating that the zero line is broken.
5. Measure whether the live wire touches the shell. Test the shell of electrical equipment, neon light, indicating that the fire line has touched the equipment shell.
6. Judge the voltage. In the test, the higher the measured voltage is, the brighter the light emitted by the neon tube. An experienced person can judge the approximate voltage range according to the strength of the light.
7. Judge whether there is voltage or not. And if the voltage of the measured object is less than 60V, it means that the voltage is lower than that of the neon tube. Test the metal shell of electric equipment such as motor, transformer, electric tool, washing machine and refrigerator with electric pen. If neon tube is on, it indicates that the shell of the equipment is charged.
