    Questions:
    Question:
Can you get 4mm threaded inserts for the safety alligator clips? being able to screw them on the test leads would make them more usefull!
Answer: I don't think so. The ID is about the same as the "regular" alligator clips, just no threads. I thought this was a pretty useless design. I actually purchased these because I thought I would be able to use the Safety Clips. They are virtually unusable. I missed the photo the vendor included in the listing. The leads, however, are pretty good for the price. Not as nice as Simpson or Fluke leads, but they are also 1/4 the price. I would say 1/4 the price if a good Fluke set at 3/4 the quality. see less

Very good question. I have not explored the availability of inserts, but as they are the safety clips are useless to me and I am not using them. I hope someone else will have a solution!

    Question:
Are they compatible with a black test bench 388a multi meter
Answer: If you are describing a BK Precision 388a multimeter the answer is yes those leads will work.

    Question:
What is the gauge of the lead's wires? Does it have just a few strands of copper, or multiple?
Answer: Feels like many strands of copper. very flexible. Fells same as Fluke meter originals.

It has enough. As far as how many strands, I'm not cutting mine just to give you an answer.

5.0 out of 5 stars They work with Fluke meters!

I use Fluke meters for their accuracy and quality, but since I use them every day and they get thrown around alot, the first thing to go is the leads. Decided instead of buying expensive Fluke leads ever few months to try a cheaper option. Ordered these and have used them daily for the past couple months with no issues, and the clips are awesome as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Fluke!

This is actually a really good test lead set....I ordered 2 more sets after using the 1st one to have as backups....Fluke has gotten so ridiculously expensive that I refuse to buy any Fluke accessories anymore.....AND they have reduced the quality of their products....don’t get me wrong tho...fluke multimeters are the best hands down but I’m not paying 30/40$ for a set of BASIC test leads....or 50$ for the magnet hanger....soap box...sorry...these leads are better than the Flukes and are 1/3rd the price AND they come with good quality alligator clips/spring jaw clamps on top of that! Fantastic product....well worth the money...you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻
5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly with Fluke 323

I'm a DIYer with average ability. Had an obsolete Fluke die (called for service and they said that model is "non-serviceable") and I replaced it with a 323. I wanted alligator clips and Fluke's were way overpriced. Found a set of just alligator clips for .99 that had good reviews but saw this kit with more stuff for just more, and had mostly good reviews. It all feels solid and snaps into ports just like the Fluke leads, no trimming or other modification needed. Like others have said, at first the second set of clips don't seem useful because they don't thread onto leads like the bigger shrouded ones do. There's no manual but the second set are banana connectors, not threaded. So you thread on the shrouded clips on one end of the wire and push the banana clips onto the other end that normally plug into the meter and you have jumper wires with alligator clips on both ends. If I need a jumper wire but still need to test something, I use the Fluke leads that came with it. Of course you couldn't do that if you're buying this to replace lost or broken lead wires.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great kit, works perfectly with a Radio Shack MM

Plugs fit perfectly into a Radio Shack multimeter, read zero ohms when probs connected, even when wiggling plugs around. Both sets of aligator clips are threaded to to fit securely on probes. I lost the alligator clips for my old leads/probes long ago and was just looking for a set, but got this whole set with the probes instead, price couldn't be beat. The threaded alligator clips are so much better than any I've used, though having two sets means more to get lost. Not compensated in any manner to write this review. I recommend these!
5.0 out of 5 stars probe ends are threaded! That's outstanding, much, much better than slip on friction fitting! Cool:)

I wish I could find this exact product, but with silicone insulation rather than PVC. But I'll get over it, I love how the two types of alligator clips thread onto the probe ends, not slip, friction. This should improve doggy connections on the one thing that we are trying to use as the standard for good bonding! And I can live without the cool Fluke feel. Cheers!
5.0 out of 5 stars 10 Amp rating with screw-on alligator clips
Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020
    Style: WG-011Verified Purchase
I have now purchased 3-sets of these test leads since I like the screw-on alligator clips. I would rather have 15 Amp rated wires like my AEMC Multimeters provide but the AEMC test leads did not come with alligator clips which are an absolute must when troubleshooting. Time will tell if they hold up. They feel like they are quality but you cannot see how the wires are attached to the probes (soldered or crimped). Hopefully they are soldered. So, all ratings are based on look and feel, not important electrical characteristics.
5.0 out of 5 stars These fit the MESTEK cm83B Clamp Meter
Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2020

Got these for the alligator clips the MESTEK didn't have. At first I didn't think they would fit but I didn't push them in enough. They are a tight fit but a good tight fit. WGGE must have read the other reviews about only one set of clips working on the screw- in side of the leads. Both sets of alligator clips now screw into the test lead side of the wires. I like these leads so much I put the OEM leads from the MESTEK back for spares and use these WGGE leads on the MESTEK all the time so the alligator clips are always quickly available.

I was disappointed this didn’t fit my meters because it appeared to be a good set of wires. Very versatile. I picked up a nice little meter with no wires at a yard sale and “Yay” they fit. Work great, the attachments are very useful!
Yes, I would recommend this test lead set!

The quality is very good for the price. Some have said the alligator clips were not very good. The alligator clips don't slip onto the leads, they screw onto the leads. They're very good. Bought a second set for my other meter. Highly recommend it.
