Condition: I AM SELLING a Sam Browne Belt. These were copied from British Army uniforms during WWI when the US Army was serving in France with the Brits. The US Army adopted the use of these belts for officers and many variations exist. Today you find them used in law enforcement and similar. The belt had an over the shoulder strap and such things as a holster, or cartridge box could be added through the use of attachment mechanisms made for this belt. I attach some images of other Sam Browne Belts. They were used in the US Army from WWI up through WWII after which they were discontinued in the military context.
