    This is a rare rim less HORSTMANN COAT BUTTON, the button looks like it was just made , tho it is over 100 years old . The manufacture , Horstmann has been producing military items since back in the 1815 , most I have seen is more CIVIL WAR ERA, or earlier, I did not know they produced buttons for WW1 and a rare rim-less at that.
