Description
These are two (2) PowerBlock Elite Handles. The listing is for theHANDLES ONLY
. Please view the product on Amazon to see details about the PowerBlock Elite set (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G7RHGNY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 ; ASIN: B00VEAH5SA).
No weight plates are included, but the handles will work with with PowerBlock Elite plates and locking key.
The handles work fine with weight plates and locking key, but there are issues with the adder weights (described below).
Product will ship AS IS, so buy at your own risk. I will describe all known issues below, and feel free to ask questions. Do not buy or bid unless you are willing to accept the risks.
Known issues:
1)
Some adder weights have rust/corrosion
(see pictures). Likely fixable with sanding and coating with something. As is, the one adder weight will have metal flakes that come off during use. Sanding would resolve that issue, but you would likely need to coat it in something to keep it from rusting more. I do not know what the adder weights are made from, or if they will continue flaking/rusting.
2)
The red plastic/rubber cap on the lever of one of the handles is missing
(see pictures). I have not missed having this cap. I actually don't even know when I lost it. I just noticed it wasn't there one day. It doesn't make any difference in how the handles work, but it did provide a covering for the metal corners on the end of the lever.
3)
The levers for both handles are LOOSE
. This is the reason I replaced them under warranty and am selling these ones off. The lever on one handle is looser than the other, but I would not trust either to hold in the adder weights safely while working out. It's possible these can be tightened/fixed, but I do not know how to do it, nor do I know if it is actually possible to fix on your own.
The handles can be used safely without adder weights. The levers will still be loose, but since there is nothing in the adder weight chambers, it would not pose any risk. The handles work fine with plates and the plate lock key.
It's possible to still use these with adder weights, but doing so requires extra precaution and attention, such as never having the chamber openings pointing down, using adder weights only with plates attached (the plates will block the adder weights from falling out if the lever opens, but will likely lead to extra wear and tear on the equipment if it is constantly sliding back and forth, and is not meant to be used in this way), or somehow blocking/gluing the levers into the closed position so that the adder weights cannot fall out. None of these methods are recommended, only mentioned as possibilities.
4)
There is some slight cosmetic damage
. This includes scratches, small dents, scuffs and discoloration. None of these cosmetic issues effect performance of the handles. Even the loose levers have nothing to do with any kind of damage that was done to them. While they are still weights, so handled less delicately than say a laptop, I don't throw them around recklessly, and I have been reasonably careful when transporting and storing them.
Buy or bid ONLY if you accept these conditions.
