This new miners / mountain cabin looks realistic with detail and will enhance any 1/24th, 1/22.5 and possibly 1/20.3 scale railroad. This cabin can endure full time exterior exposure for it has been sealed with Behrs Premium water sealer .
The exterior board and batten, interior wall boards and all trim is clear Western Red Cedar with tight growth rings. All was applied with Titebond III waterproof glue to the sandwiched 1/2" plywood sub-frame that also has a waterproof sealant applied.
It has one interior light for use with a low wattage 12 volt transformer such as that on your transformer for accessories. The stone and concrete chimney is fastened with bolts, nuts and washers that were reinforced with rebar inside of the concrete. One nut is above the ceiling inside and the other is hidden behind the kettle pot in the fireplace. Both bolt holes were sealed with silicon to prevent water seepage. The bunk beds with chenille bed spreads and table inside add realism
This cabin includes Clyde the figurine, axe, lantern, wood stack and bench. The truck is NOT included.
Measurements are 13 1/4" wide at roof edge to side of chimney, 12 1/2" foot print, 10 1/2" deep at roof edge, 9" deep foot print, 10 1/4" tall to top of roof ridge and 11 1/2" tall to top of chimney.
It will be shipped in a Heavy-Duty 17" x 13” x 13” box from U-Haul. I have shipped hundreds of models all over the world and they arrive safe and sound by my packing methods. My feedback says it all about my packing!!!
I have shipped two other similar cabins that started out as a trio of cabins and both arrived safe and sound.
