    Description

Original, signed, etching/aquatint painting by artist Marcel Augis, France.  Augis sometimes worked under the pseudonym H. Dupont, most notable during WWI, early 1900’s.
Painting is of a Fall, country scene in Normandy France, signed in pencil on left side with, "Paysage Normand", meaning, Normandy Landscape.  Signed in pencil on right side, "Marcel Augis".
Painting shows bare trees, a dirt road/path, thatched cottages, a wooden house on one side, a brook, ducks wandering near the brook and people standing in front of their homes in the distance. Colors are brown, umber, forest green, gray, teal blue and rust.
Painting/etching is directly on paper, not matted, has a slight indent indicating frame, measuring 9" x 12".  Please note: modest, black wood frame is without glass, and measures 9.5" x 12.5".
Back is definitely original with nails used to secure print.
Some stains around outside of painting...can be covered with new framing.
