    Historically Interesting World War I / N.Y. Athletic Club Silver Flask. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Incredibly interesting engraving stating ‘ To Captain: Robert Clifford { First American Soldier} To Enlist At Porto Rico In World War (First American Officer) In Charge Of French Sector November 1917 From His Comrades Of The New York Athletic Club 1920. Fully marked with English hallmarks with a makers mark of TW. Engraved on the bottom of the removable cup is the retailers mark of Albert Barker Ltd. 5 New Bond St. London W. The makers marks along with the lion passant marks are clear however the date letter mark is rubbed. Atop the secure corked cap is a red and white enameled winged shoe, symbolic of the N.Y. Athletic Club. Measures 6 3/8” tall x 3 1/2” wide. Weight is 425 grams. Great condition with small dings and scratches commensurate with age and use. Fantastic piece, thanks for looking!
