AHA-01 Chiliean M1895 Bayonet w/Scabbard AND M1893 Adapter

You are bidding on a Chiliean M1895 Bayonet w/Scabbard AND M1893 Adapter
. Manufacture and Chilean acceptance marks are clear and strong.
The bayonet is in very nice shape with some nicks and bumps. No rust, no pitting. I cleaned an amazing amount of crud out of the button mechanism. The blade is very nice. The handle and grips show extensive use but nothing serious EXCEPT for a gouge on the muzzle ring. Visible in the photos, the ring took a hard hit. Did not bend or warp the ring.
The scabbard retains 95% of the original finish but has a few dents. Not deep enough to impede the bayonet but too large to just call "dimples".
No rust, no pitting. Serial number does NOT match the bayonet.
The added bonus is a vintage barrel band adapter for the M1893 Mauser. The M1893 was not designed to accept a bayonet. When Chile (and other nations) adopted later model rifles they also found this solution to keep the older weapons in service in a military that no required a bayonet as standard kit. This adapter is in good shape with no rust or pitting. It does have quite a few dings on the edges and will have the be sanded to fit without tearing up the stock of your rifle. I suspect the troops were not quite as careful about such things. My understanding is that in high humidity the rifle stock would swell slightly, causing the adapter to bind.
This is a solid example for your collection, lacking only the frog to complete your M1893 rig.
