1853 Braided Hair Large cent for sale. The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. The date is extremely faint, but the top curve of the last digit can be seen (suggesting 1852 or 1853). When comparing other examples of each date, you can see the top curve of the 2 is very thing, whereas the top curve of the 3 is much thicker, the same as this coin, allowing us to identify it as 1853. It has a small dent in the reverse causing it to be bent slightly.
