    Description

    A very rare R5 plus variety of 1848. A slightly bolder example in XF corroded, ex Reiver collection is up for sale for hundreds of dollars above this example. The Iskra example offered several years ago by Goldberg in VG realized 0 plus the buyer's fee. Hard to understand that it is cleaned. Looks quite decent. An angular mark is visible on the neck of Ms. Liberty. Earlier state with no die break in AMERICA. An unusual certified example. This variety has rated R6 for many years but is now R5 plus.
