    1840 Braided Hair Large Cent (Sm. 8-over-Lg. 8. / N2) – Sharp & Attractive  !
    Description:
    This 1840 overdate large has original-looking color and nice detail. On the obverse, the date & LIBERTY  are full, and a little more than ½ of the hair detail is visible. Rev. detail is consistent, with all lettering clear and some wreath detail. The rims on both sides are full & smooth except for a couple of rim dings between stars 11 & 13. The color is original dark walnut brown There are no huge problems, and the eye appeal is good (please see pictures).
    This coin will make a great addition to a collection of Large Cents.
