    1840 Braided Hair Large Cent, Choice Very Fine, certified PCGS VF-30.  A nice circulated example of this early Braided Hair type, the early dates of which seem difficult to find problem free without cleaning, heavy marks or worse yet, corrosion. The grading seems a bit tight as well, compared to a few others recently certified. In any case, these seem cheap … As for price, unfortunately you can thank ebay’s new higher fee regime – I am more than happy to sell for less under different circumstances.
